Meet Active Duty Fire Chief and JGPR Academy Instructor: Rob Reardon

Biography

Rob Reardon has been in the Fire Service for over 24 years. Currently, he is the Chief of the Duxbury Fire Department in Massachusetts where he has worked for the last 21 years. Chief Reardon is a National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer graduate, as well as a Chief Fire Officer graduate from the Massachusetts Fire Academy. He is the Public Information Officer (PIO) for the Duxbury Fire Department, the Plymouth County Technical Rescue Team and the Southeastern Mass. Technical Rescue Team.

Prior to working at DXFD, Chief Reardon worked for 10 years in the Boston media for television stations and major newspapers as an award-winning photographer. He has worked at Fox 25 News, NECN, the Boston Herald and the Boston Globe. His photographs have been used on the covers of many national magazines, newspapers, books, calendars, trade publications as well as used worldwide on TV news. He has also been a photographer for Firehouse Magazine for over thirty years. Reardon is a contributor for several national magazines and has taught Social Media nationally for both the private and public sector. He has presented and lectured at FDIC International, Firehouse Expo and Firehouse World.
