Sarah Lux earned a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Central Florida and a master’s degree in Public Relations from Full Sail University. Sarah has practiced Public Relations for 10 years, specifically focusing on community education, government affairs, and crisis communications.
Overview
This training provides Public Information Officers (PIOs) with practical guidance on assembling a comprehensive “go kit” to ensure rapid, effective crisis response. Participants will learn the importance of being prepared to deploy at a moment’s notice and what essential tools and resources should be included. The session covers core categories such as communication devices, documentation tools, identification, personal items, and emergency supplies. The presentation emphasizes tailoring the kit to specific job duties and regularly updating its contents.
