Beyond the Resume: How to Get Noticed, Get Interviewed, and Get Hired

Overview

Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Director, or Principal, school leaders often have the strong skills and knowledge necessary to handle the administrative roles they seek, but all too often, are unable to convey their strengths during the application and interview process. How you communicate who you are and what you stand for is a big part of getting the job you want. Cover letters, resumes and interviews are all part of the process and each is important in its own way. This in-person workshop will work directly with participants to develop the strong communication skills necessary to get noticed and to impress the people doing the hiring. Participants will learn how to make their cover letter and resume stand out against other candidates and will participate in mock interviews to practice the skill necessary to ace the interview.
