Overview

Building on a featured lecture given by John Guilfoil at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, this two-hour class uses the real-life example of an addiction and recovery non-profit to showcase how it takes knowledge, authority, strong comms, and…well…money to start and run a successful non-profit. We focus on the comms part in this class! Delving into the basics of influence communications, advanced media relations and story placement, and a quick pivot into crisis management made when it all goes wrong (and it will sometimes)!

This real-life case study is used to teach those in the non-profit, small business and government communications world how to build brand equity, how to grow your audience and how to stay active and relevant during and after a crisis.

The class is on Zoom and is interactive with your input used to steer the class.

Completing this course will teach you:
