Lieutenant Matthew Solak
Biography
Lieutenant Matthew Solak has been a Police Officer in the Willimantic (CT.) Police Department for the past nineteen years, and is presently assigned to the Administration Division, which oversees the Department’s Police Social Worker and Police Assisted Recovery Program. Lieutenant Solak has been involved in the emergent field of Police Social Work since 2020, and has testified before the Connecticut General Assembly about police social and has had his work in this area recognized by former U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona. Lieutenant Solak holds a Masters Degree from Trinity College and is presently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Connecticut.
