Dr. Philip McManus
Biography
Dr. Philip B. McManus is a highly accomplished educational leader and a passionate advocate for equity and inclusive school environments. With over 20 years of progressive experience in education at both middle and high school levels, including his current role as Principal of Masconomet Regional Middle School, Dr. McManus specializes in fostering high-quality teaching and learning while addressing the critical developmental needs of adolescents. A core element of his leadership is a demonstrated commitment to anti-bias work. He has partnered with outside experts and community organizations to enhance cultural proficiency among students and staff. As a result, he was asked to testify in front of the Massachusetts Special Commission on Combating Antisemitism at the Massachusetts State House based on his work with the Lappin Foundation and responding to antisemitic incidents.
