Sarah Lux, APIO
Biography
Sarah Lux, M.A., APIO, is the Lead Public Information Officer for the Lake County, Florida Board of County Commissioners. She has more than 10 years of public relations experience. She is a popular PIO instructor and was named Lake and Sumter Style Magazine’s 40 Under 40 for 2024.
She is part of the Florida Association of Public Information Officers’ deployment team and the Lead PIO for Florida’s Region 5 All-Hazards Incident Management Team. She has been deployed by the state of Florida to aid communications in other counties four times, including Fort Myers Beach after Hurricane Ian. She is part of the 2024 Master PIO cohort, a federal training program that has accepted and certified less than 175 PIOs in the nation. Lux prides herself on her ability to clearly explain complex governmental matters to citizens in her community.
