Meet JGPR Academy Instructor Robert Tornabene!
Robert Tornabene is a retired law enforcement officer with 27 years in Law Enforcement with progressive advancement from a patrol officer, Sergeant, Commander and Bureau Chief. Robert has over 17 years’ experience handling Crisis Communications utilizing all aspects of media to interact and inform the public. He has worked in public sector agencies in Illinois and Colorado as a public information officer. Robert is the creator of the PIO Podcast, a podcast for Public Information and Public Affairs professionals in public sector organizations.
Former president of the Illinois Public Information Officers Association. Robert is a Police One contributor and blog author, or all thing public information related. He is a graduate of Northwestern University’s school of Police Staff and Command and Robert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Robert is a recognized expert in Active Shooter Training and is a resource for business, local governments and organizations in planning and development of crisis plans.
