Mindfulness in Law Enforcement

Overview

This training is taught by Ret. Commander David Avery who is a retired Randolph Police officer having served for 32 years. During his career he served as a patrol officer, duty detective, prosecutor and supervisor before retiring as an executive officer with the rank of Lieutenant.

Addressing and destigmatizing issues of mindfulness and mental well-being in Law Enforcement are topics that need to be brought into the everyday conversation, now more than ever.

In this course, we will highlight the sources and consequences of stress in policing and how it relates to you as an individual. This course is designed to be taken department-wide, with each member of your department taking part in the group-session workshop.
