Using Infographics to Boost Your Post

Humans thrive off of visual reinforcement. In fact, more than half of the population are visual learners. So, in order to avoid your posts being skimmed over and forgotten about, use infographics

If executed correctly, they will allow your information to be more comprehensible for your audience. Infographics break down information into chunks that are easy to process and therefore more likely to be remembered by the viewer. Best of all, they can look amazing.

Here are three simple reasons why infographics work:

Breakdown Complicated Ideas

Complex ideas are often coupled with long sections of text. Many readers often do not have the time or willingness to read a post all the way through. While it can be helpful to bold or highlight your main points, they can sometimes lose their impact. With infographics, the information you are communicating can be displayed in a cohesive and understandable graphic with a reduced amount of text.

The Power of Visuals

Visuals are often processed more efficiently and are easier to digest by the reader. One of the most fool-proof ways to ensure that readers actually remember your post is to couple it with meaningful images. Not only will your audience remember your post, but they will remember your brand (and your logo!). At the very least, the important information will be retained even if the rest of your post is disregarded by the reader. On the flipside, if the infographic causes further engagement, you now have a reader that is going to set time aside during their day to fully absorb the rest of your post. It’s really a win-win.

Boost SEO and Shareability

In the online world, it’s becoming more and more important to rank high in search engine optimization (SEO). In short, it is the best possible way to have your posts found through search engines like Google. With supplemental images, your posts will be boosted in this way and recognized more frequently. On top of this, infographics can lead to more shares and brand exposure. At the end of the day, people are much more likely to share the beautiful graphics that you have created rather than a long piece of text.
